Stop Overthinking Your Content & Do This Instead 🤔

The truth is - not every piece of content needs to be your best work. Growth will come from consistently showing up, not obsessing over perfection.

Done is better than perfect.

It took a long time for me to realise this, but once I did it was a game changer.

The truth is, not every piece of content needs to be your best work.

The majority of your growth will come from consistently showing up, not obsessing over perfection.

Putting something out there, even if it’s imperfect, will always beat waiting for the “perfect” idea that never gets posted.

Here's how to build the momentum you need to succeed - without burning out 👇

Build a Content System

  • Use templates: Create repeatable content templates for posts, videos, or carousels to save time.

  • Plan in Notion (or similar): Use a Notion database to create a content strategy, track ideas & monitor progress.

  • Stay authentic: Align your content with your personal brand and passions - creating content you genuinely care about makes the process more enjoyable and sustainable.

  • Example: Create a weekly framework (e.g. Monday: travel tip, Thursday: personal story, Saturday: photo carousel).

Batch Creation: Turn One Day Into Weeks of Content

  • Plan a dedicated content creation day: Choose 1 day a week to brainstorm, film, write, and schedule your content for the week.

  • Group similar tasks together: Write all captions, edit videos, or schedule posts in one focused block.

  • Example: Spend the morning scripting & filming, then afternoon shooting video editing & scheduling posts.

  • Why it works: Eliminates daily decision fatigue and frees up time for other priorities.

Double Down on What Works

  • Review analytics regularly: Look at which posts get the most engagement (likes, shares, comments).

  • Repurpose top-performing content: Turn an engaging Instagram post into a Twitter thread or expand it into a blog.

  • Drop what isn’t working: If a type of content consistently underperforms, pivot and try new approaches.

  • Take action: Once a month, analyse your best-performing content and brainstorm ways to replicate its success.

Focus on "Good Enough" Content

  • Set realistic deadlines: Commit to publishing content when it’s 70-80% polished instead of obsessing over perfection.

  • Prioritize progress: Consistently showing up is better than waiting for flawless ideas that never get shared.

  • Keep it real: Authentic, raw content resonates more with audiences than overly polished posts.

Consistency isn't about achieving perfection in every piece of content.

It's about establishing a pattern of showing up regularly and building momentum through repeated action.

The key is creating a framework that you can realistically stick to over the long term, rather than setting unrealistic standards that lead to burnout or inconsistency.

Until next time, keep making it happen.
